# Tutorials

> The video tutorials, each written out step by step: from installing seriesmith to a finished master.

Each tutorial is a short video on YouTube, and each page here is the same tutorial written
out as steps: every click, every field and what to type in it, in order. Watch the video
for the shape of it, then follow the page at your own pace.

They build on each other. Tutorials 1 and 2 make clips in Simple mode; from 3 on they
follow one episode, *Dean and the Little Lost Owl*, from its script to its finished master.

## Getting going

> **[1 · Install to first clip](https://docs.seriesmith.com/tutorials/install-to-first-clip.md)**

> **[2 · People and places](https://docs.seriesmith.com/tutorials/people-and-places.md)**
>
> The same face in every clip, someone from a photo, two people talking, and new takes.

> **[3 · Screenplay to episode](https://docs.seriesmith.com/tutorials/screenplay-to-episode.md)**
>
> A screenplay through Claude and Import series, or the series wizard; then every shot rendered.

> **[4 · The script in 90 seconds](https://docs.seriesmith.com/tutorials/the-script.md)**

> Writing a script by hand: each line of a shot, the series config, and the editor's shot form.

## Pictures and looks

> **[5 · References](https://docs.seriesmith.com/tutorials/references.md)**
>
> Four views, a wardrobe change, a tour, Turn and 360, and a character from a frame.

> **[6 · Relighting](https://docs.seriesmith.com/tutorials/relighting.md)**
>
> One plate or a whole sequence under another light, and reading what a relight says.

> **[7 · The look builder](https://docs.seriesmith.com/tutorials/look-builder.md)**
>
> A series' look picked from pictures, or built part by part, and what it changes.

> **[8 · Shot direction](https://docs.seriesmith.com/tutorials/shot-direction.md)**
>
> Framing from pictures, camera moves from clips, and saying what the camera moves around.

## Rendering and sound

> **[9 · Render anywhere](https://docs.seriesmith.com/tutorials/render-anywhere.md)**
>
> Your GPU, Comfy Cloud, and one shot on a hosted model through Comfy Router.

> **[10 · Continuity](https://docs.seriesmith.com/tutorials/continuity.md)**
>
> Two shots that play as one: `continuous: first` and `continuous: latent`.

> **[11 · Voices and your own dialogue](https://docs.seriesmith.com/tutorials/voices.md)**
>
> Voice samples from words, cloned voices, and lip sync to a recording of your own.

## Finishing an episode

> **[12 · Editing a real episode](https://docs.seriesmith.com/tutorials/editing-an-episode.md)**
>
> Notes, flags, Claude, Re-render stale and trims: fixing 288 shots without watching them all again.

> **[13 · Finishing](https://docs.seriesmith.com/tutorials/finishing.md)**
>
> Proxy, final, upscale and post, the finishing recipe, and the master.

## Bonus
