Watch tutorial 13 on YouTube

Finishing: from draft to the finished master.
An episode goes through up to four passes on its way to a master. Each is optional past the first final: The master is the cut delivered at one size, every shot finished the same way. You need: upscaling and post-processing are features of their own: Settings → Features… → Upscaling, Post-processing (each lists its files and any node pack, which ComfyUI-Manager installs). Full setup has the list.

1. Proxy, then final

1

Judge the cut on proxies (optional)

Set the episode’s card to proxy and Generate missing. Use the proxy cut to check the timing and that the characters hold. A proxy is no preview of its final (a different size is a different draw), so many shows go straight to final.
2

Render the finals

Switch to final and Generate missing. Pick the takes for the cut as usual. Each pass keeps its own cut; the timeline’s Cut menu copies the order, trims and audio from the other pass.

2. Set the finishing recipe

The recipe says, once for the series, how every shot gets to the master.
1

Open Series settings → Finishing

The cog in the Shots toolbar → Series settings → Finishing.
2

The master's size and encoding

Deliver at: the master’s one size (1080p, 1440p, 4K). Fit: crop or pad a shot that isn’t that shape. Quality: master (x264 CRF 12, for delivery) or review (quicker).
3

How each model's shots get there

A row per video model. H3 and FastH3 Omni re-sample their own latent (more detail, the same performance); other models use an upscale model (RealESRGAN) or SeedVR2. The standard rows are there already; change one only for a reason.
4

Post

The post step: the enhance level (draft, production, cinematic; production is SeedVR2 7B) and motion blur (0.5 is a 180° shutter). Then Save.
To try one shot first: its take’s menu → Upscale (2x)…, then Post-process… on the upscale. Each dialog follows the recipe, or Choose for this run for your own settings (and Save as sh020’s recipe to keep them for that shot). Compare the result with the final side by side, zoomed in.

3. Master

1

Open Master

The timeline’s header → Master (or Cut → Master…). It lists every shot of the cut against the recipe: upscaled already, missing, or made with other settings.
2

Choose what it does

Tick Conform to the recipe to redo upscales made with other settings too (never one marked Keep upscale in its take’s menu). Post-process: All by recipe finishes every shot by the recipe’s post, Where present uses the posts you made by hand, off masters from the upscales. Queue in cut order (what’s done is the cut up to a point) or grouped by model (faster for a batch left to run).
3

Queue

Press Queue N shots: the upscales and posts the master needs go on the queue. You can close the dialog or reload the page: Master is a job the server keeps.
4

Assemble master

When they’re in, Assemble master: the clips are written and joined into the episode’s master/ folder, with the series’ intro and outro around it when the show has _titles/INTRO.mp4 and OUTRO.mp4.
5

Play it

Open the file in master/: the episode, finished.
From a terminal, the same thing: seriesmith master Shows\ep01 --wait (--conform to redo upscales made with other settings).
For a quick review copy without the finishing passes, Export in the timeline header assembles the pass’s cut into one mp4 (2x beside it, from the takes’ upscales), and Titles puts the intro and outro around it into publish/.
